During my undergraduate I started using reclaimed materials as canvases. With Peter Pan as inspiration I painted an elaborate treehouse on an old window which would become the first of my treehouse series. I wanted to create both fantasy and adventure, to tell a story through one article, in this case through treehouses. Since then the content has incorporated airships as well as treehouses and I even went so far as to work jobs where I personally removed the windows from sites that were being deconstructed or would later be remodeled. The work is painted onto glass with acrylic paint and edited with an x-acto knife. Some paintings include LED's and cloth backdrops before finally sealed with resin or varnish.
